Main employers in Bengaluru: IT services, product start-ups, electronics and semiconductors, aerospace. Most tech hiring happens in Whitefield, Electronic City, Manyata Tech Park and along the Outer Ring Road from Marathahalli to Sarjapur; Koramangala, HSR Layout and Indiranagar are start-up territory.
Traffic on the Outer Ring Road can add an hour each way, so many people choose a job and a flat on the same side of the city.
